8px Standard

Based on an 8px grid standard with fine tuning when needed at 4 px. To create a balanced vertical and horizontal rhythm throughout our designs, nearly all margins, padding, and heights should apply multiples of 8 (Or 4 when necessary with only rare exceptions for specific visual alignment needs.)

Clearly connected items & breathing room.

Create structure by balancing closer spacing ratios for connected elements with using larger ratios—i.e., more breathing room—between steps and sections for a more digestible, lower friction experience.
