Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) Notice

This COPPA Notice explains how ĀYŌDÈ (The Organization for the Advancement of Youth through Opportunities in Digital Education) complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) in relation to the collection and use of personal information from children under the age of 13.
1. Applicability of COPPA
This Notice applies to:
- Children under the age of 13 who access or use our Services.
- Educational institutions or parents who authorize access to our Services for children under 13.
ĀYŌDÈ is committed to protecting the privacy of children and complies fully with COPPA.

With parental or school authorization, we may collect the following limited information from children under 13:

- Parent or school-provided contact information
- School affiliation
- Limited usage data related to educational progress and activity within our Services
We do not condition participation in activities on providing more information than is reasonably necessary.

When schools authorize use of ĀYŌDÈ’s Services for students under 13, they act as the agent for the parent or guardian in providing consent under COPPA.
Schools are responsible for obtaining any required parental consent prior to a child’s use of our Services.
6. Data Security and Retention
ĀYŌDÈ uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect children’s information.
Children’s data is retained only as long as necessary to provide educational services or as required by applicable law.
7. Changes to This Notice
ĀYŌDÈ may update this COPPA Notice from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on our website.
Continued use of our Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Notice.
