API Terms of Use

These API Terms of Use (“Agreement”) govern your access to and use of any application programming interfaces (“API”) provided by ĀYŌDÈ (The Organization for the Advancement of Youth through Opportunities in Digital Education).

By accessing or using any ĀYŌDÈ API, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

ĀYŌDÈ grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the API solely in accordance with this Agreement and for lawful, educational, and non-commercial purposes.

ĀYŌDÈ may impose usage limits, rate limits, or quotas on your use of the API. Violating these limits may result in suspension or termination of access.

Current usage limits will be communicated through API documentation or via ĀYŌDÈ’s developer resources.

Use of the API must comply with ĀYŌDÈ’s Privacy Policy and all applicable privacy laws, including FERPA and COPPA, where applicable.

You must take reasonable steps to protect any data obtained through the API from unauthorized access or disclosure.


5. Ownership and Intellectual Property

ĀYŌDÈ retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the API, including all related intellectual property rights.

Nothing in this Agreement grants you any ownership rights in the API.


6. API Changes and Termination

ĀYŌDÈ may modify or discontinue the API, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice.

ĀYŌDÈ may terminate or suspend your access to the API for:

The API is provided “as is” and “as available.” ĀYŌDÈ disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ĀYŌDÈ shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the API.


9. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
